1. BACKGROUND
Melamine is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative analysis of Melamine in milk, meat and feed and for the quantitative analysis of Melamine.
2. PURPOSE
This handbook establishes procedures for ***ermining Melamine in medicines and food. The test is a competitive direct ELISA that provides exact concentrations in parts per billion (ppb). Melamine in samples and standards competes with enzyme-antibody for the antibody binding sites.After a wash step, substrate reacts with the bound enzyme conjugate to produce blue color. A stop solution is then add which changes the color from blue to yellow. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the concentration of Melamine in the samples and standards.
3. Materials Supplied With Kit
3.1 Microtiter plate (8 wells¡Á12 strips): precoated with Melamine conjugate.
3.2 MEL standard solutions (1mL each):
0 ng/mL¡¢2.0ng/mL¡¢5.0ng/mL¡¢15ng/mL¡¢50ng/mL¡¢150 ng/mL¡¢450ng/mL£» .
3.3 Mel Antibody: 10mL
